The facility has been fitted out to a high specification, with all infrastructure installed with a minimum of N+1 redundancy, and certain key elements at 2N. A state-of-the-art IP CCTV system and access control system form part of the comprehensive security arrangements, including man-traps, interlocked doors, and biometric iris scanners.
Our datacentre operators are a member of The Green Grid industry body, comply with the European Code of Conduct for Datacentre Operators best practice guidelines, and have been externally audited and certified to ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 27001 (Information Security) standards.The facility achieves a PUE figure of between 1.2 and 1.4 without using outside air for cooling. The same facility is used by Spotify, Verisign, Adobe, Symantec and many more.
Network uptime and speed are critical elements to any web hosting provider and can often ‘make or break’ a hosting company. We are proud to have all servers connected to the internet using a fully redundant network which has provided us with excellent uptime during the 8+ years we have used it.

All data is held on a secure server and automatically backed up to another physical location on a twice daily basis whilst static web pages are backed up weekly. Our restore exercises have indicated that in the event of a corruption we would be live again within 2 hours.
In addition we keep our DNS information at a third location so that in the event of a complete failure at the Hosting Centre we would be able to mount our entire system at our alternative location very quickly although we would of course be limited by the speed of propagation of the DNS information over the internet.
